do these rankings include the week 9 games? If so I can see why Pit and NE fall out of the top 10. Hey one more thing you might want to try adding to your rankings equation, some sort of strength of schedule statistic. You have the bengals at 6th, and numerically I can see why with their record and the numbers they are putting up, but they haven't really played any good teams yet this season other than the niners which they lost. Their next two games are against pit and bal and I don't see either of those as victories for cinci.
ReplyDeleteYea that's a good idea. I've been meaning to do that but haven't had the time. I'll try to get that up ASAP though because I think you're right, SOS is definitely an important stat.
ReplyDeleteAnother issue with my algorithm is that I started halfway through the season and so the values are skewed in that I am taking into consideration opponent's winning percentages for wins and losses. That's why PIT and NE fell so far and why teams that won moved up so much, but I'm hoping that will even out from hear on forward.
